My kids have been a little naughty lately - like a lot! They have driven me barmy. I have been so busy that I haven't had time to wander on to the Pier here, otherwise I might just have jumped off! So a weekend away with a bunch of lovely women was just what I needed!
Anyway, one of my brother's is finally getting married and my lovely sister-in-law to be invited me on her Hen weekend. This started with the very efficient Gesine sending me a spreadsheet with lots of information on a long time ago. However, it was only on Tuesday that I was told to scroll up the spread sheet and discovered I needed a long blonde wig to wear on the Saturday whilst we went round the Go Ape woodland assualt course and a 1950s glamour dress and corsage for the Saturday evening. The blonde wig was never ordered as it would not have arrived in time - well that is my excuse and I am sticking to it! As far as the dress was concerned I thought I will have to buy a prom dress from Debenhams. Three children and a few more bumps and lumps than I would like I know I am far too old for Prom dresses but I didnt think there would be a glut of 50s vintage dresses out there! However, I popped in to Monsoon (as you do) on the way to Debenhams and found a lovely dress and shrug cardigan that was perfect - a bit 50s and a bit vintage and a really good price tag - relief or what! As you know, I have a fetish for corsages (will blog a big picture of them all one day) so choosing a corsage was no problem.
Ramble, ramble, ramble - sorry! Anyway, had a great time climbing and doing zip wires on Saturday followed by a mediocre meal but great company in the evening. We went this morning and sat on the terrace, right by the sea, at Sandbanks Hotel, Poole. It felt very meditteranean - very nice and sunny but very windy too. I wore my lovely red shoes. I would be showing you photos but I left the camera at home so my husband could use it while he took the kids to see the in-laws up North - came home to find the camera still on my desk - typical!
I did a bit of shopping. I already own these Zak bowls but bought a pink set at a greatly reduced price - hurray!
I bought these two things to do something with - up date soon - hopefully!
My husband's birthday is on Tuesday so the children and I are going to do a Paul Smith style Love canvas using these - help! Any ideas for presents for husbands who don't want anything? (as we must buy them something anyway otherwise my children will think I am really mean). PLEASE COMMENT IF YOU HAVE ANY IDEAS!!!
