On Father's day we went to Brighton and had a lovely meal in Terre a Terra - a great vegetarian restaurant. We caught the train there after a struggle getting a cab that could take 5 of us to the station in one go! When we got back we crashed on the sofa and the children performed a show for us that they had been rehearsing.
The song 'Love shine a light' sung and acted by all three children always makes me cry. The first song 'Believe' also makes me cry and Pasha is singing it with Upper School at the end of year and end of school summer shows. Dark sunglasses not an accessory but vital for surviving the afternoon. One blog I will print the words as they are very inspiring.
The children bought Andrew two boxes to keep his watches in. Last year we gave him a special watch for wearing on the beach and in the water. This year they decorated paper ones and put them in one of the boxes for him.
I think this is the true spirit of giving - thought and effort. The children spent ages devising the show. I personally love receiving drawings and things they have made just for me. Very special. I just need to sort out the boxes full of all the drawings and come up with some clever plan for storing it all! Any ideas?
