This is meant to be a very positive post. It may make you think a little but I feel this might be necessary for us all at the moment.
I thought I would write a quick note to encourage everyone to not be dragged down by the information terrorists i.e the media. Everywhere is doom and gloom. I think things are very hard but if you look carefully at the media they are being VERY NAUGHTY! My husband bought home a copy of a newspaper last night. On one page was the line 'city workers queueing at the Halifax', inferring they were getting all their money out. They were in fact standing by the cash point machine drawing out some lunch money. I think it is really important to try to stay positive in these difficult times and I encourage everyone to not buy the newspaper and not listen to current affairs. I almost feel myself getting panic attacks after I have listened to some radio programmes. Then I analyse what they have said and I realise they are making half of it up, they are guesssing.
A good example of this is that loads of us love Country Living magazine and reading blogs etc. Just think about how much of that influences our choices in how we decorate our house and what we aspire to achieve with our houses, way of life etc. I am going to continue reading your great blogs and being inspired.
I accept we don't all run off to the countryside and become pig farmers but probably a few of us would like to. Instead we have lavender filled hearts, vintage china, patchwork quilts and each other amongst other things. I have decided that no matter what happens I am rich. I dread the thought of losing my house as I would never get one like it ever again. I am really lucky though, I have three beautiful children and a great husband.
For anyone who needs a reality check - then read this blog - cjanerun - it just puts everything in to perspective.
So I am going to watch more of this rather than the news:-
