Due to half term there was no mosaic class last week. Aggghhhhh I began to get withdrawal symptoms! On Saturday the sun was out and we were all pottering about on the beach. I popped back to the house for a windbreak as it was a little breezy. In addition, I returned with my next mosaic project. Whoops - how did that happen? Team work made quick progress. Jasper has previously stripped all the cork off the top of this little stool. Eager to help he is still wearing his snow suit!
Jasper and Pasha were very patient. It was a nice day but after a couple of hours it was quite chilly unless you were digging holes - we have mud like sand - therefore no actual SAND castle building. They hid beneath a sleeping bag, giggling their heads off!
I cut all the pieces up, then Skyla and Andrew got on with all the sticking. There is a lot of picking of glue off the fingers post mosaicing - most satisfying!
We listened to Dermot on Radio Two He does a vibrant show of great tracks, some up-to-date and some blasts from the past.
Time whistled past. We read together.
Then home for tea and the worrying bit - GROUTING - one never knows how this messy stage is going to turn out.
We are all, thank goodness, very pleased.
