I have two brothers and on Saturday one of them is getting married (finally!). If you have ever wondered what you buy someone who has nearly everything then the answer is apparently a silver marmite lid! I joked about it with my future sister-in-law and she said she would actually really like one as she loves marmite. Best news is for my brother is I got it engraved with their names and date of marriage - no excuses about forgetting your wedding anniversary now!
Yesterday one of my best friends, Tammy, cam to see us. She is one of my very special friends but unfortunately I dont get to see her that often as she lives a long way away. She was picking her sister up about an hour away from us and thought she would just risk popping by. We werent in as we were all the beach but I was just crossing the green so they saw me. We had a great afternoon/evening on the beach which included her children and her sister. My friend, Sarah, joined us with her children. There were 13 children all together as my neighbour's grandchildren were there too. We had fish and chips on the beach. Tammy's 6 year old son took this picture. It is the horrible back of my neck but I love the colours against the fantastic blue sky!
The great thing about a digital camera is I can let all the kids just borrow it. I love it when I download the photos as there are often surprises (mainly good! - like the one above). I thought I would also blog this as it sums up a large part of our lives - the boat is all ready to be loaded with towels to go to the paddling pool. Check out the water pistols that become part of the goodies and baddies team games.
