This was a tricky one to categorize! The first picture is of my huge kitchen table. There are five of us and when people come to visit there needs to be somewhere for them all to sit. When we are on our own we use one half of the table for art and making things and then the other half for sitting down together and eating. As stated on a previous blog the oil cloth desperately needed changing. The table is made from two nice but cheap glass tables from Next, which can be reused in the future. On the top is a whacking great piece of MDF. The lovely pink chairs are Panton. They were not mega expensive in the scheme of things, but I LOVE THEM! They actually make me happy!
This is the lovely oilcloth close up!
I bought these three glass shapes from the Country Living show in London in the spring time. I have finally got round to hanging them up!
This is one of my favourite ones:-
We ventured towards the paddling pool again after school. It was so windy and freezing though. I treated the children to an icecream. This is Jasper's favourite part of a Smartie Pop Up Icecream. I think he gets the idea of blogging very well at age 4. I asked him to arrange his hand nicely for the photography and he obliged without any questions!
Whilst the children were being brave in the freezing cold water I was going to attempt to do some more reading - did not manage it though. Skyla, practised her spellings and I managed to make the zebra tail that I needed to for Skyla. She is dressed as a zebra in the Lower School show tomorrow. Yikes - I have got to go in at lunch time and help with all the face painting. Thank goodness it is a tiny school!
Jasper managed to tuck away in the paddling pool bag a packet of strawberry spaghetti strings. Despite having already had an icecream I thought it was mean to say no considering his bravery with the cold water! This picture definitely captures him snuffling down some as quickly as possible as he can't quite believe his luck!
