We then visited a certain Butterfly Garden locally, which was so dire I felt like I was being robbed. Bravely I asked for my money back after half and hour and I got it back. My eldest agreed with me - it was like paying to walk round a very bad garden centre. The butterfly bit was the size of an average lounge and had probably 10 butterflies in it. I think the owner had probably never heard of the Trade Description Act!
Today we visited Highdown Gardens in West Sussex. As usual it was very charming. It seems to be very well cared for and yet lovely and natural. We always have a great potter round. No picnic today but we did have lunch down in the cafe on the seafront. We then were chased off the beach by a big black cloud that showered its contents just as we reached the car. Kids watching Scooby Dooby Doo now whilst I blog. Then I really must rescue the kitchen from the onslaught of bags, water bottles and paraphernalia that accompanies lovely days away from the house and washing machine!
